Points to Ponder ...

  • "My children may bicker, and I may—almost certainly will—complain. But the bickering and the griping are chaff, and what’s left when the winds of time carry them away are the golden kernels I want to savor..." --Melissa Wiley

Happy Fourth! Our little town has a similar celebration (though we're even littler than your town!) and there really is nothing like it anywhere! God bless your husband and all our firefighters and public servants (and their families!). I think we forget the sacrifices they make to be there for us on days like today!

Happy 4th! :)

I didn't realize your husband was a Fire Chief! (I guess that explains the nickname!) My husband fights wildfires as part of his job (forester) in the summertime... He actually left this morning for a fire assignment.

I read the post you linked to from back in January... That was so sad.

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th! God Bless!
