Oh mercy!!! Well, I am glad you are alive! How frightening.

Glad you're alive as well. ;) We've encountered this in an old 1920's house we (meaning my dh-I took out all the trash, cleaned up and made dinner) renovated many years ago. It is shocking what people will do when they don't know what to do. I feel blessed to have a very handy husband.
